Join us in Sacramento for Tourism Advocacy Day and the CalTravel Summer Board Meeting. Tourism Advocacy Day is the afternoon of May 17: we give you training, key talking points, and materials over lunch, then put you in small groups for an afternoon of meetings with legislators about the importance of travel and tourism. The afternoon ends with a reception at Cafeteria 15L for attendees and legislators. This event is vital to raising our visibility and helping us advance and promote California tourism in Sacramento.
Help us raise our voice to demonstrate the power of the tourism industry, tell our stories, and develop stronger relationships with legislators. Together our voices are stronger and louder!
In addition to the training that day, CalTravel will offer Tourism Advocacy Day participants two advance virtual training sessions. And don’t worry; we will put together the groups, schedule the meetings, and create the meeting materials, and prep you to make sure you have everything you need for a successful, informative, and fun day.
Tourism Advocacy Day is free to all CalTravel members. Non-members may participate for a fee of $250 which includes breakfast, lunch, materials, and reception.
The board meeting guest speaker is Asm. Sharon Quirk-Silva, Chair of the Arts, Entertainment, Sports, and Tourism Committee.
The PAC dinner on the evening of May 16 is at The Sutter Club, the second oldest private club in the state of California. This magnificent venue has a rich history and exceptional cuisine. See full schedule for the two days below.
