ADVOCACY WORK
Our experienced lobbyists increase tourism’s visibility and generate support for policies that protect and advance member interests. We keep our members informed on the bills that matter to our industry and engage on measures of most significance.
THE PAC
The CalTravel PAC is a robust political action fund that helps support legislators and elect candidates who are champions of the tourism industry. It offers members an avenue to pool their resources so we can have a greater influence.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
CalTravel is fortunate to have a strong and diverse Board of Directors to help our organization grow in influence, effectiveness, and value. The Board oversees the work of CalTravel and directs management, strategy, and investment.
COMMITTEES
Our committees allow members to collaborate, shape the future of CalTravel, further develop their careers, and add value to their own organizations. With 15 different active committees, all members can have a space to make their voice heard and lend their expertise to our work.
TOOLKITS
CalTravel has created a variety of toolkits to help members develop a better understanding of issues and opportunities; educate themselves on programs and best practices; and become informed and empowered advocates.
EVENTS
CalTravel hosts events year round, including our annual CalTravel Summit, Tourism Advocacy Day, and quarterly board meetings—all of which allow members to gain insights and build connections. Members get free registration for meetings and a discount for the Summit.
COMMUNICATIONS
We regularly deploy member-only e-newsletters, which we use to keep our members informed on important tourism news, issues, insights, and opportunities—ensuring they’re equipped to tackle any challenge that comes their way.
CONNECTIONS
Trying to fill an open position, receive proposals for an RFP, generate event registrations, or simply want to share some news? CalTravel can help! We broadcast our members' news and facilitate introductions on mutally beneficial opportunities.
STAFF
Our team is always available to answer questions and provide insights and support on issues. Members have direct access to staff, including CalTravel’s staff lobbyist and one of the Capitol’s top lobbying firms.

CalTravel seeks to provide live and virtual meetings and interactions in which all participants feel safe and are treated with respect. Our members agree to adhere to the minimum expectations of behavior at all CalTravel live and virtual meetings and events, as well as when representing themselves as members of CalTravel in public.
